92 Years young

My mother was 92 yesterday. She is doing very well. She is at home with full time help but otherwise is doing well. We had a small party for her on Saturday with Krispy Kreme heart doughnuts!

In her day my mother was a great seamstress and quilter. Her quilts are traditional and beautiful.

I have been busy with mother's party and a sick grandson. Also, we had snow Friday night. We woke up to gorgeous snow Saturday morning. It was a perfect snow, about 4 inches but wet and fluffy. It didn't interfere with anything anybody had to do. The kids could get out and have a great time.

I have not done much sewing, I made a little black and white sawtooth border yesterday. My sewing machine is getting lonely.

They say we are the sandwich generation. Between our parents and our grandchildren we keep busy. For quilters that would possibly make us the batting! Batty??? lol Great that your mum is still on her own and hope the grandson is up making snowmen soon.

How lucky for you that your mother is still in her home!
Two years ago, my mother at 88 was put in a nursing home. Although she loves the home, the people, every so often, she wishes she was able to be in her own home.
It is a saying that our parents look after us, so that we eventually will look after them!
