I finished my Project Improv blocks this afternoon. This project was so much fun that I made two blocks. I will be sending them off this week. I was not jumping up and down about red and aqua to begin with. I had plenty of red but not much aqua. I was "forced" to visit the fabric store to find a couple more aquas. I have to say that aqua is not my favorite shade of green but it does blend well with other colors. I find that thinking about what you are going to do is very stimulating for my brain. I enjoy deciding what to do. One of the things that kept me from quilting for years is the thought of doing dozens of blocks the same way. I need something more interesting to occupy my mind.
This one didn't turn out exactly like I thought it would but I am satisfied with it.
While I was searching for some more aquas I found the latest issue of Quiltmaker magazine with Tonya's article in it. I love making houses and it is a great tutorial if you are interesting in liberated quilting.
And yes we are very depressed over the Tarheels losing to Maryland in overtime on Saturday. Our son came over to watch the game with us and we were all very sad to see our fellas lose. Lets hope they realize they need to play defense. Just a few weeks until March Madness! Stanley is obviously upset too!

Oh, too bad you were "forced" to buy more aquas! Wonderful blocks -- isn't that a great color combo?

Love the blocks & the kitty - but I am on the opposite side of that rivalry...
your blocks are great - I love the little slivers of color in each of them.

I think your improv blocks are great! I haven't liked the aqua and red together at first either, but after looking at that combo for awhile, it's growing on me!
