Projects

I thought I was going to have so much time today but with going to the Library's used book sale, watching my favorite soap, (yes I am addicted) and walking the dogs I didn't get much done. I have been working on a few squares using Jan Mullen fabric I bought off Ebay last winter. I really like her designs. I haven't decided what I am going to do with these square. I just found out my neighbor is pregnant with her first child and I might use it for her baby quilt. They are such a nice young couple. They aren't finding out if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl and this would work for either.

Too Bright?

Do I need sashing? Maybe a pale yellow or green?

I started on my Project Improv square. I got red/aqua. At first I was a little put off by the combination but I have come to really like it. I need to add more to it but at least this is a start. You should see what some of the others are doing. I am so intimidated!!

We have a busy weekend ahead. Our daughter is coming home to meet her new nephew and of course I will have to do some baby rocking!! The Tarheels play Virginia tomorrow. We are all pumped because Duke lost! The only thing better than a Tarheel win is a Duke loss.

I love your liberated stars with Jan Mullen fabric! Very cute, and no, I don't think they're too bright!
And your Project Improv square is looking good! That is a different color combo, but it's growing on me too.

I did red/aqua too and just love it! Yours is looking great, do NOT be intimidated! The whole point of this is to have fun and experiment. And your baby quilt is not too bright (but then, almost nothing is too bright for my taste!). I think sashing or no sashing is according to your prefence!
