Mother's quilts pt 1
I spent Thanksgiving afternoon in the ER with my mother. Her legs suddenly would not support her weight. After many tests it was determined that she had a stroke in the area of her brain that controls messages to her legs. There is strength in her legs but the message is not getting through. She is expected to recover and hopefully will move to rehab the first of the week. This is fantastic news considering she is 90 years old! We all wish to be as healthy as she is at that age.

looks like quilting skill runs in the family! i hope she is feeling better. we had a trip to the emergency room with my dad this weekend thinking stroke too. turns out it's bells palsy. it's tough getting older.
oh dear, I hope your mother makes a swift recovery. it's wonderful to have quilting in common with your mother.
Glad your mom seems to be doing well after her stroke. How great to have have so many quilts of hers.
gosh, what a lovely quilter your mom is! best wishes for a fast recovery for her and I agree, good news indeed.
I hope your mother makes a good recovery. I love her red & white and the blue & white quilts best. Two color quilts are very soothing.
